Puppy Love!

We adore all of the dogs that come to visit us at Pooches, but boy do the puppies make our day. We have had a parade of adorable new babies coming through the door lately. Pictured you see Jack, a three month old English bulldog. He joins the likes of baby Grace, the mini dachshund; Otis, the black pug; Lulu, the fawn pug; Lily, the whippet; Bruno, the Logotto Romagnolo (yeah, we didn't know what that was either! It's an Italian breed); Milo and Hugo, our baby beagles; Sookie, the Boston terrier and most recently Maddie, the white boxer girl (with the pink toenail polish!) and a little Australian shepherd boy who still awaits his new name! I'm sure I'm forgetting someone...if so, my apologies. I'll be sure to add our other babies in future posts.
Part of what is fun about these babies is obvious. Puppy breath, cuddles, cute beyond imagination. The fun that may not be so obvious when these puppies join our fold is that we get the chance to help them grow up. We actively participate with families in house training and teaching some basic manners--all disguised by fun and games. Many of our babies also come to our group puppy classes for more fun training.
We are very honored when people trust us to care for their new puppies. It is a responsibility we take very seriously and VERY happily. Next time you stop by you might want to peek behind the front desk. The tiny puppies generally hang out there with Aunt Betty until they are old enough/big enough to join the real play groups. We love our puppies!
Puppies must receive at least two rounds of shots before they can join the fun at Pooches.
